Jason Santa Maria lectures on the influence of print on web

SVA Dot Dot Dot Lectures: Jason Santa Maria from MFA Interaction Design on Vimeo.

This is a great lecture given by web designer Jason Santa Maria on the challenges designers face in overcoming the limitations of designing for the web. His blog (www.jasonsantamaria.com) is an excellent example of bridging the gap between print and web.

SearchMe!

I stumbled across this website. You create a search and you can scroll through the websites that come up. The display of the websites is very iTunes-y! :) I think it's quite a brilliant idea in order to eliminate clicking on websites that you have searched that end up being of no use to you. With this, you get a glimpse of what you're clicking on!

typography on the web

An interesting article about the future of type on the web. It also includes some inspirational examples of web sites with great typography.

And, while I'm on the subject, another useful resource for type on the web is The Elements of Typographic Style Applied to the Web.
